And we invest in our world-class team, empowering our colleagues to unpack their potential, because we believe when our people grow, so does our business.Job DescriptionAmcor is currently searching for individuals to join our Shelbyville - Liquids production plant!Shift available:2-2-3 12-hour straight days, 7:00-7:00!2-2-3 12-hour straight nights, 7:00-7:00!Every other weekend off!Starting pay:Operators - $19+/hour - Based on skillset and experience!Assistants - $18+/hour - Based on skillset and experience!Plus $1.50 night shift premium!Benefits:Benefits Day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision!Retirement: 401(k) match up to 8%Referral Bonus: up to $1,000Retention Bonus: $1,000Perfect Attendance bonus as well!What Operators Get to DoOperators will lead in all aspects of operation of lines including changeovers, machine start-up, running and shutdown.Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, print specification, color folders and standard operating procedures.Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely.Work with and direct the assistant and pit crew to minimize job change-over and down time.Train and direct the assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time.While also knowing and understanding the role in product safety.Performs basic operator preventative maintenance to machines and/or tools.Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work)All other duties as assigned by supervisor or managementWhat Assistants Get to DoFollows safe operating procedures and complies with all EHS and GPM guidelines to ensure that only the highest safety standard is maintained.Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.Meets company's attendance requirements, including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested.Checks and inspects material received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to customer's specifications.Prepares make-ready for upcoming jobs (such as speedwells, color standards, cylinders, color keys, trolley's, inks and doctor blades).Stages material for upcoming jobs and takes raw material samples to lab for testing prior to production.Checks and monitors viscosities regularly.Orders raw materials and wets for upcoming jobs.Hangs rolls of incoming material and prepares for splicing.Learns basic machine operations.Maintains a neat and orderly work area in accordance to 5S standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis.Participate in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasks.Complies with company policies and performs other duties as assigned.What We ValuePassion for Safety and following Safety ProceduresPassion for Quality and meeting Customer SpecificationsMust have a positive attitude that promotes the High-Performance CultureFully aligned with the Core ValuesInitiative identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked to or required by the situationA team player with good communications skills and the ability to work independentlyWhat We Want From YouAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability read, understand, and follow customer specificationsExperience in manufacturing environment preferred.Forklift experience preferredMust have basic computer skills to complete tasks in operator softwareRequired to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colorsOur ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
