- Policy Analysis and Development Support a federal, multi-issue policy portfolio, with specific focus on manufacturing, telecommunications, and technology programs and policies; Support the development and execution of effective advocacy plans consistent with business objectives; Develop and maintain an understanding of the policy and regulatory landscape; and Track and analyze legislative and regulatory policy developments, providing intelligence and insights.
- Relationship Management Develop and maintain strategic relationships with federal elected officials and their staffs and government officials and staffs in regulatory and other agencies; Attend advocacy meetings, hearings and events with key hill and administration officials and staff; Represent Corning in trade associations, and with other key stakeholders; and Develop coalitions to support Corning’s policy agenda as appropriate.
- Location and Travel Requirements: Washington, DC office (this is not a remote position) Less than ≤15% of out-of-town travel Required Education and Area of Experience: Bachelor’s degree Minimum 7+ years progressive experience working in federal government affairs Required Skills: Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate, in writing and verbally, complex points to a wide array of audiences.
- Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills / Education: Prior experience working in a congressional office and/or the federal executive branch.
- Prior experience working at a Fortune 500 company.
