- Campus Title Employee Relations Specialist Department Human Resources & Payroll Services Position Summary HIGHLIGHTSSUNY Geneseo is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to support up to a two-year temporary appointment.
- Under the supervision of the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Human Resources & President’s Designee as well as the Associate Provost for Finance and Administration, the Employee Relations Specialist will support the division of Academic Affairs in collaboration with leaders from the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (PVPAA) Office.
- The Specialist will engage in team member training and mentoring, working with department chairs and managers on supervisory and employee relation related topics and ongoing adherence with SUNY guidelines as well as state, federal, and other relevant laws and regulations.
- This position will independently handle/advise on employee and labor relations matters as assigned by AVP for HR and the PVPAA. Provide support and guidance to supervisors and staff on a range of matters including application of collective bargaining agreements, informal and formal coaching and counseling, workplace investigations, union grievances, and administration of the disciplinary process, where applicable, within the division of Academic Affairs.
- Completes research projects as they relate to employee and labor relations issues and compiles reports for managerial information purposes.
