- Develops, implements, reviews, and/or administers College HR functions, programs, policies, and procedures related to recruitment, selection, retention, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, legal compliance, and other human resources policies and procedures.
- Manages the College’s HR operations and programs; work includes supervising and monitoring work performed by staff; identifying, negotiating, and contracting with vendors; planning and revising programs, including those related to recruitment, compensation, and training; and providing HR expertise to employees, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Prepares, reviews, and presents a variety of reports, plans, and correspondence, using general knowledge and subject matter expertise, to facilitate HR operations and ensure compliance with laws and regulations; work may also include overseeing the maintenance of and/or updating and maintaining human resources information systems and databases.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other college and community members, displaying cultural competence and emotional intelligence.
- A master’s degree in human resources, experience in human resource management in a higher education setting, SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification, and experience in change management and organizational development.
