Strategically focused and responsible for client satisfaction, maintaining client communication, and the overall management of the client relationship. Works to grow the client relationship by identifying new business opportunities. Works with delivery team to execute on contract terms and conditions and to ensure on-time delivery of projects that support the client's business.Primary Responsibilities:Works under the daily supervision of the Team Lead or SupervisorEffectively work with the client and staff to improve billing operationsAssists/directs patients with questions ad inquiriesCollect TOS payment and outstanding balancesValidate insurance and other billing informationObtain precertification, authorizations and other referrals as assignedAccurately enters patient updates to the scheduling systemAbility to review Medical RecordsAssist in identifying current and or potential billing issues specific to outstanding receivableFollow up on denied or unadjudicated encountersAssist in other duties assigned as they ariseProtects/observes patient confidentiality per policies and proceduresAccurately imports registration documents into patients' electronic health recordsDemonstrates knowledge of proper, safe, efficient usage of current office equipment/softwareWork with follow up accounts receivableYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 5+ years of medical billing experience3+ years medical billing experience3+ years experience with effectively interacting with physicians, patients, and other staff members1+ year experience with obtaining authorizations of pre-certs from insurance companies1+ year previous experience with insurance verificationsCurrently reside in New Jersey or New York with the ability to travel to 2 office locations; 200 West 57th Street, NY, NY 10019 and 555 West 57th Street, NY, NY 10019Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookPreferred Qualifications:Bilingual communication skills (Spanish)Medical billing and coding certificationKnowledge of electronic medical recordsAccess to carrier portalsCareers with Optum.
