Cook - Full-time

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team and help create a supportive and nourishing environment for our patients and staff. In this role, you will prepare high-quality meals, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements. Your work will play an essential part in fostering healing and community through shared meals.Position Details:Schedule: Full-time Thurs thru Mon (Tues & Weds off)Location: Cathedral City, CACompensation: 21- 22 hourlyApplication Deadline: March 30, 2026Key Responsibilities:Works in collaboration with the Chef to help with the development of menus.Maintains cleanliness of dining room and kitchen in accordance with sanitary, national, and local standards.Requisition food supplies and equipment.Inspect and taste food for quality.Helps in the ordering of food, as needed by Director of Food Services.Inspect and supervise serving of food.Responsible for quality and quantity of food served.Assure preparation of sufficient quantities of food in time to meet meal schedules.Assure storage of perishables and avoidance of food spoilage and waste.Maintain compliance with all applicable food safety laws, regulations, and health codes, including safe food handling and sanitation practices.Required Qualifications:At least 1 year of experience as a Cook or in a related role.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in a healthcare or residential facility, strongly preferred.Food safety certification (ServSafe preferred).Knowledge of food safety laws, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance.Why Join Banyan Treatment Centers?This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within an organization that stands as a nationally recognized leader in addiction and mental health care.
