Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Step into a rewarding role supporting students' academic and emotional development as a School Psychologist for the 2026–27 school year. This full-time contract assignment plays a pivotal part in fostering a positive learning environment, with opportunities available at either the junior high (7th–8th grade) or elementary (K–4) level. Shifts are scheduled for 35 hours per week, beginning in mid-August 2026 and wrapping up in early June 2027.Preferred Qualifications and Experience:Deep knowledge of IDEA and Illinois state guidelines for special educationHands-on experience with MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) processProven track record meeting special education evaluation timelines and monitoring progressSkills in organizing and facilitating domain meetings, EDCs, and manifestation determination processesComprehensive understanding of IEPs, 504 Plans, discipline support, and MTSSFamiliarity with digital assessment and documentation tools such as Q-global, FastBridge, and Google DocsKey Responsibilities:Conduct psychoeducational evaluations in accordance with state regulationsImplement assessment strategies and report results to multidisciplinary teamsAssist with manifestation determination assessments and provide recommendationsStay on top of special education compliance deadlines and documentationCollaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective support plansLead or participate in team meetings, ensuring all voices are heard and IDEA/Illinois requirements are metProvide consultation and problem-solving support to staff around student needsYour expertise in psychological assessment and student-centered interventions will have a lasting impact on young learners' success.
