Lead Bookkeeper/ Office ManagerHouston, TX | Full-Time | Environmental ServicesOur client is a mission-driven environmental services company focused on improving air quality. They are a small, growing team where every contribution matters, ideas spark change, and your work has a real impact.They are seeking a proactive, highly organized Bookkeeper / Office Manager to manage financials, office operations, and executive support. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enjoys variety, and takes ownership of responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & BookkeepingManage client invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping using QuickBooks ProMaintain accurate financial records and perform bank and credit card reconciliationsTrack expenses and assist with monthly financial reportingManage weekly time tracking and project billing in BigTimeAssist with payroll setup and documentationCoordinate with external accountants for tax preparation and reportingOffice Operations & LeadershipProvide direct administrative support to executive leadershipSupervise one Administrative Assistant and guide workflowOversee daily office operations, including vendor management, office supplies, and billingEnsure office systems and processes run smoothlyAdministrative & Team SupportCreate professional reports, presentations, and documents using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat ProMaintain organized digital and physical filing systemsAssist with HR administration, onboarding, and office safety programsSupport company LinkedIn and social media presence for recruiting and marketingPlan and coordinate team meetings, events, and celebrationsRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of bookkeeping, office management, or senior administrative experienceExperience supporting executives or senior leadershipStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeepingAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHands-on experience with: QuickBooks Pro, BigTime, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)Exceptional organization, accuracy, and attention to detailWhy You'll Love This RoleMeaningful work supporting environmental impact initiativesSmall, collaborative, and mission-driven teamOpportunities to expand your role as the company growsCompetitive Houston market-based salary, PTO, and benefitsPositive, fun culture with team events and celebrations
