Must be proactive and possess strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Must be able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Attention to detail and organization is essentialHeavy calendaring, docketing and eFilingMust be proactive and manage their attorney’s docket effectivelyFollow-up with attorney on deadlinesEnsures strict confidentiality at all timesCollect case information and prepare client engagement documentationManage the collection and maintenance of statistical data for internal reporting and analysisPrepare initial drafts of litigation documents for attorney review including discovery requests and responses and case opening and closing filingsLegal research, writing, analysis, and cite checkingCollaborate with firm’s billing department on client billingAssists with special projects as neededPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS) A college degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 5 years’ experiencePossess cooperative spirit; participate and collaborate in a team-based environmentDemonstrate proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)Litigation related experience preferredAbility to multi-task and prioritizeAbility to organize workflow and use time efficientlyAbility to show strong attention to detailAbility to perform in an ever-changing work environment and successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demandsAbility to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction, follow up on own initiativeAbility to be resourcefulAbility to handle and manage stress
