Work with the Marketing and Communications team to develop materials and campaigns that support individual giving and donor relations efforts. Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Individual Giving and Donor Relations to join our team.

You can transition from zip-lining at Scout camp with a donor in the morning to donning evening attire for a formal dinner in Pebble Beach all in the same day. In collaboration with the CEO, Vice President of Development, Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Board Development and others, this position leads the execution of all direct fundraising events, strategies, solicitations, and donor relations.

The Director of Individual Giving is primarily a direct fundraiser, personally or through a network of volunteer fundraisers, and plays a critical role in CLC’s individual giving program managing the annual fund (mail, email and social media appeals), mid-level donor program and Champions for Children Campaigns (individual donor giving from corporations and law firms.

Establishes key partnerships with units throughout the division, including advancement services, alumni relations, and donor communications to reach annual giving goals. Supervises Assistant Directors of Annual Giving (3 FTE), to grow revenue and donor counts.

Lead individual giving campaigns with participating companies and law firms. This position also builds and co-manages a pipeline of major donors through the Kite Club (major donor society for donors of $1,500 to $10,000+) by engaging in strategic cultivation, stewardship and personalized solicitations.

Work with Individual Giving to develop and support a consistent donor communications strategy, from cultivation to stewardship, including small events in key donor markets for CI.

The Chief Development Officer will continuously evaluate, grow, and lead Tenfold’s comprehensive and strategic development program which includes donor relationships, major gifts, grants, corporate giving, individual giving, special events, planned giving and associated.

Works in close conjunction with other fund development officers, pursuing and contributing to harmonious collaboration between direct marketing, social media, foundation, corporation, and planned giving staff for optimal integrated strategies in regard to major donor communications as well as overall divisional initiatives.

Critical elements of the fundraising efforts of the school, including leading and coordinating the team responsible for the annual giving program, alumni relations and engagement, strategic events, donor recognition and stewardship, and fundraising data strategy and utilization.

Serves as a key member of the Annual Giving & Development teams and will be instrumental to help shift culture to fully embrace digital innovation and experimentation to deliver an Omni Channel donor experience.

Works in close conjunction with other fund development officers, pursuing and contributing to harmonious collaboration with direct marketing, social media, foundation, corporation, and planned giving staff for optimal integrated strategies in major donor communications as well as overall department initiatives.

Planned giving and donor recognition: Identify opportunities to transition annual fund donors into planned giving and major gifts. Coordinate efforts with major gifts, planned giving, alumni relations, and other fundraising initiatives.

Work with Director of Development to identify and cultivate new donors, as well as maintain/improve donor relations at each level of giving and within each giving category (foundation, corporate, and individual.

Utilizes software systems required including: Altru (donor/member/events), SGA (accounting), and PayCom. From the Annual Fund and Membership campaigns – to event sponsorship, planned giving, and major gifts – the Director of Advancement leads the goal setting and fulfillment with support of the Development and Marketing Team, Executive Director, and other leadership team members.
