- The vice president serves as a strategic advisor to the president, provost, and board of trustees and recommends financial and administrative objectives, policies, programs and practices that ensure a sound financial structure for the university.
- Working with the president and the provost, the vice president is responsible for planning the operating and capital budgets and for developing a long-term sustainable economic model that ensures the viability and vibrancy of the university.
