- Senior peer specialists will support participants through navigating systems within the behavioral health, human services and criminal legal systems as needed by providing escorts, acting as client advocates and liaisons.
- Provide peer support services as a member of a multidisciplinary care team to clients enrolled in NCCBHC using team-based approach to treatment working collaboratively with therapists, psychiatrists/PNPs, substance use specialist, case managers, nurses, and family members
- Conduct outreach, engagement and crisis services to support clients transitioning from hospital, detox center, jail/prison engage in NCCBHC treatment and support services
- Use trauma-informed and person-centered approaches to support clients to express their dreams, strengths, and assets that encourage self-direction and choice
- Provide non-clinical treatment planning support that incorporates life areas (e.g., community connectedness, physical wellness, spirituality, employment, self-help, etc.)
