- Training and Experience Note: The required knowledge and abilities are attained through training and experience equivalent to four (4) years of full time experience performing journey level preventative maintenance modifications and minor repairs on diagnostic and therapeutic biomedical equipment, similar in scope and function to a Biomedical Equipment Technician with the County of Santa Clara.
- Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician issued by the International Certification Commission (ICC) is desirable.
- General knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, physics, chemistry, optics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general hospital procedures.
