- FHJC is a welcoming, vibrant, inclusive Conservative synagogue, with more than 350 families, located in the center of Forest Hills, N.Y. We are a spiritual, cultural and educational center of Jewish life for all ages.
- His/her passion for Jewish education and the ideals of Conservative Judaism will inform the development of mindful, friendly and creative curriculum, services and programs centered on Torah, mitzvot, tikkun olam, chessed, tzedakah, Israel, Shabbat and holidays.
- The Director will be a bridge between school families and the synagogue, as well as develop community connections and outreach to raise awareness of and involvement with FHJC.
- professional team which includes Rabbi Daniel Graber, Hazzan Randy Levin, the Early Childhood Director and the Executive Director, who together create a welcoming environment at FHJC for every sector of our membership and the larger community.
- Work with professional and lay leadership to integrate Religious School students and their families into the larger synagogue community with innovative classroom and experiential learning, creative family services, intergenerational community building activities, special holiday programs and parent education opportunities and social action projects.
