- The Research Project Manager at the Aortic Center at Penn Medicine will be responsible for performing strategic planning and day-to-day management of complex and broad range of projects focused on a wide range of research and training initiatives with mentoring from the Co-Director/Founder (Joseph Bavaria, MD) and Co-Director (Nimesh Desai, MD).
- The Aorta Center at Penn Medicine is the largest program of its type in the region and includes cardiovascular and vascular surgeons with nationally and internationally recognized for expertise in repairing aneurysms at the aortic root without aortic valve replacement.
- The Research Project Manager B will be responsible for the design and creation, maintenance and analysis of cardiac and vascular aortic surgery databases individual and collectively in Red Cap. Extract and interpret data for inclusion in abstracts/manuscripts/book chapters and sponsored research submissions (NIH, Society and Foundation grants and investigator initiated IDE (investigational device) clinical trials).
- The Program Manager will create, film, edit and maintain a Surgical Video Library of intraoperative complex aortic repair cases as well as other procedures as requested by the surgeon to be used as case studies for training Penn surgery residents, faculty, staff and patients as case studies at national and international cardiovascular and vascular surgery conferences.
