- The Cao Laboratory utilizes and develops cutting-edge single cell omics, imaging and microfluidics tools to investigate on lineages commitment, cell type evolution and cell-cell interactions (e.g. Cao et al., Nature 2019; Lemaire et al., Science Advances, 2021; Chen et al., Plos Biology, 2022).
- One position is available for the candidate with strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology or related fields, and prior experience in the analysis of single-cell sequencing data (e.g., RNseq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, CUT&TAG, and chromatin interaction).
- One position is available for the candidate with strong background in molecular biology, developmental biology, genetics, system biology, or related fields.
- The candidate must have experience in utilizing genetic manipulation protocols, e.g., design and construct gene plasmids, CRISPR. Priority consideration will be given to candidates with previous expertise in genetic manipulation in embryos, single cell sequencing, confocal fluorescence microscopy.
- The successful candidate should have a sound understanding of developmental biology, and a strong publication track record in evo-devo or related fields.
