- The Department research agenda is centered on advancing health equity and eliminating racial and other intersecting inequities through community-engaged research, chronic disease epidemiology, mental health and substance abuse research, reproductive health research, as well research on health behavior, upstream health policy and systems, and health services.
- The Department of Community Health and Social Medicine (CHASM) at the City University of New York School of Medicine is searching for a full-time, experienced faculty member to serve as Medical Professor and senior researcher.
- The Medical Professor in this pivotal role will maintain a dynamic portfolio of extramurally funded projects in clinical research, population health, and/or community-engaged research.
- Research Excellence - In this capacity, the senior researcher will lead initiatives addressing critical health disparities and enhancing overall population health.
- The Medical Professor will work closely with relevant stakeholders to bolster the infrastructure for clinical research, overseeing the establishment of research support services, data management systems, and quality assurance programs.
