- SummaryThe Manager of Diabetes and Nutrition Services is responsible for managing outpatient Diabetes Self-Management Education Program and outpatient Nutrition Services.
- In accordance with the National Scope and Standards of Diabetes Educators, as well as the National Standards for Diabetes Education and Support, the Manager of Diabetes and Nutrition Services assists with all diabetes center programs, counsels individuals, teaches diabetes classes, and completes office duties and other Lifestyle Center functions as assigned.
- Promotes positive behavior change with client population using motivational interviewing techniques, goal setting and effective client communication and support.
- Supervisory Responsibilities Reports to: Director, Community Health Services Supervises: Staff Educators, Nurses, Dietitians, and Guest Speakers Responsibilities: Manage Diabetes and Nutrition Services program budget, annual goal setting and review, strategic planning, CQI, quality coordinator for ADA ERP, and employee supervision.
