- This role is a key member of our team, provide operational support to Guardian Australia's (GA) editorial department including, recruitment, learning and development, employee relations, health safety and wellbeing and employee engagement.
- Oversee the onboarding process for editorial new starters including working with IT and the HR Administrator to ensure new starters are set up appropriately, completing orientations, facilitating compliance training and taking all new starters through key policies and procedures
- Provide administrative support to the HR Director and editorial HR Manager with cyclical HR activities including, editorial remuneration review, employee engagement, gender reporting, HR reporting etc
- Respond to editorial employee queries confidentially, alerting/escalating to HR Director, Managing Editor or editorial HR Manager as appropriate
- Promote a safe and secure workplace; organise ergonomic assessments, administer workers compensation claims and develop staff rehabilitation plans as needed
