- Under the general direction of the Counseling Center clinical staff, the case manager promotes holistic student wellness students individually or in other forums (classrooms, division meetings, programming) by helping students gain awareness of and access to solutions to their barriers to academic success.
- This position requires a variety of skills involving case management, crisis intervention, triage, outreach, consultation.
- The Center for Counseling and Well-Being (CCWB) provides comprehensive support for student well-being and engages in a health promotion approach to prevention.
- The CCWB Counseling Center provides confidential services to help students resolve emotional difficulties, improve personal skills, overcome the effects of trauma or grief, decrease substance use and achieve their intellectual, personal and creative potential.
- Facilitates client access to community resources, including locating recreational activities, housing, food, clothing, school programs, vocational opportunities or services, providers to teach life skills, and relevant mental health services; assists client to develop natural resources and make contact with social support networks
