- In alignment with UC Health climate commitments and the UC Sustainable Practices Policy, the Director of Sustainability and Energy is responsible for strategic planning, implementation, and reporting on programs and projects in policy areas addressing sustainable energy, climate resilience, water conservation, waste reduction, sustainable food, clean transportation, sustainable procurement, and system-wide engagement.
- Develops action plans and leads efforts for implementing sustainability practices/ programs in green building, climate action, clean energy, waste diversion, and water action.
- Expert knowledge of policies and procedures in the areas of design and construction; purchasing; contracts, grants and gift processing; building codes, and regulations.
- UC San Diego Health is the only academic health system in the San Diego region, providing leading-edge care in patient care, biomedical research, education, and community service.
