- Under the guidance of the Vice President and General Counsel, the Deputy General Counsel assumes a pivotal role, co-managing the Office of General Counsel's legal endeavors as they relate to general litigation, administrative proceedings, labor and employment, contracts, policies and procedures, and compliance.
- The Deputy General Counsel will play a leading role in providing and/or overseeing the provision of legal advice and consultation to academic and administrative leaders on a wide range of legal matters.
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a higher education setting (1) in all aspects of litigation and pre-litigation matters; (2) advising on internal investigations and labor relations; and (3) advising on ethics, academic freedom, employment practices, transactions involving real estate, gifts, and procurement, and compliance, including with Title IX.
