- The Clinical Nurse Educator provides clinical and nursing professional expertise as an educator, leader, consultant, facilitator, change agent and researcher to support the organization in the provision of quality patient care by helping to ensure the clinical competence of nursing staff and foster the delivery of evidence-based nursing practice.
- The Educator uses evidence-based practices and research that focuses on the knowledge and skills required to care for patients in the assigned areas including quality improvement, safety, and regulatory/accreditation requirements, and outcomes evaluation of programs, projects, education and training.
- The Educator advances and leads educational practices based on the HonorHealth Nursing Professional Practice Model, strategic plan and in accordance with the Association of Nursing Professional Development's Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing Practice.
- Completes a continuing education needs assessment using staff surveys, outcome metrics, regulatory standards, and other data for area of assignment then plans, develops, conducts, and evaluates, mandatory and elective education and on-the-job training programs.
