- Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe Chief Financial Officer is responsible for Agency accounting and financial processing, procedures, internal controls and reporting deadlines; directs and manages MIS, Accounting and Finance functions for Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan.
- As a key member of the Executive Leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company, managing entities and clients.
- REPORTS TO: Chief Executive OfficerSUPERVISES: Accounting, Operations & Human Resources positionsQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES•Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and fiscal management,especially with regards to not-for-profit institutions•Master's degree in business, accounting or finance•CPA certification preferred; 5+ years of professional experience inleadership positions in accounting or finance required; investmentmanagement experience a plus.
- Strategic vision, excellent supervisory and leadership skills•Proficiency with information technology; excellent written and verbalcommunication skills•Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills•Successful completion of initial and on-going employment screens,including, but not limited to criminal background, sex offender, drugscreen, OIG, valid Michigan driver's license, abuse and neglect andvehicle record check as required.
