Description Aston Carter is partnering with a local Manufacturing company to find a highly motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to join their accounting team. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: <ul><li> Responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.</li><li> Assign expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice descriptions and historical data.</li><li> Process vendor payments by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling, and preparing checks.</li><li> Set up and maintain vendor account information in the core system while adhering to verification procedures.</li><li> Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.</li><li> Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.</li><li> Support monthly and annual closing activities as needed.</li><li> Support internal and external audit requests during annual and interim audits.</li><li> Assist in developing best practices and drive process standardization.</li><li> Ad-hoc financial analysis and other duties as assigned. </li></ul>Skills Accounting, audit management, invoice processing, microsoft excel, payment processing software, expense management, monthly close process, accounts payable, IFRs, manufacturing industry, cost accounting, sap Top Skills Details Accounting,audit management,invoice processing,microsoft excel,payment processing software,expense management,monthly close process,accounts payable Preferred Qualifications <ul><li> 3 years minimum of related experience.</li><li> Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (can be substituted for experience).</li><li> Intermediate-Advanced Excel Skills.</li><li> Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li> Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li> Able to build and manage collaborative relationships with a variety of people.</li><li> Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.</li><li> Experience in manufacturing/cost accounting is a plus.</li><li> Knowledge of SAP is a plus. </li></ul>Experience Level Intermediate Level Note: This not a temporary position, this is a long-term opportunity Requirements Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
