- The continent-wide program is USAID’s flagship effort in support of the Prosper Africa initiative and will expand and accelerate two-way trade and investment between African nations and the United States.
- ATI is designed as a small, core set of centrally coordinated technical and institutional support activities, and a large, flexible performance-based subcontracting and grants under contract facility designed to support the needs and opportunities that USAID Missions and the private sector identify.
- OVERVIEW OF POSITION DESCRIPTION:The Senior MEL Director will develop and oversee the ATI Program MEL system in coordination with key USAID clients and stakeholders, with the objectives of measuring the progress and accomplishments of the ATI Program, enabling the program to develop the robust intelligence and analysis to develop, adapt and improve its program strategy, while meeting client reporting requirements and contributing to their learning priorities.
- The Senior MEL Director will develop and execute a multi-year MEL strategy and correlating MEL Plan through a consultative process with ATI management and staff and USAID.The Senior MEL Director will also work directly and supportively with partner staff from the private sector and with key USAID clients and stakeholders.
- The role reports to the Deputy Chief of Party and is a part of the program’s Senior Management Team, contributing to the ATI Program’s overall leadership, including strategic vision and direction, program implementation and risk management.
