NSC Staffing has an immediate opening for a Manual Machinist in Mansfield, Texas.-Background friendly-No drug testing requiredPPE-Jeans, long sleeve and steel toe bootsAll employees must sign handbookShift: 1st shift, schedule 7a - 3:30p, Monday - FridayPay: $25-28/hour depending on experienceWe are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist to join our metal fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience operating manual mills (including Bridgeports) and manual lathes, with a strong ability to read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and machine parts to tight tolerances. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate manual milling machines, including Bridgeport-style millsSet up and operate manual lathes with a high level of proficiencyRead, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprintsAccurately measure parts using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other precision measuring toolsMachine parts to specified tolerances and quality standardsPerform basic layout work and material preparationInspect finished parts for accuracy and conformance to specificationsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaPerform routine machine maintenance and identify tooling or machine issuesWork closely with shop supervisors and other fabricators to meet production deadlines Required QualificationsProven experience as a Manual Machinist in a metal fabrication or machine shop environmentExtensive experience with manual lathes (required)Strong experience with manual mills and Bridgeport machinesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsProficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring toolsStrong understanding of machining practices, feeds, speeds, and tolerancesHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications1+ years of manual machining experienceExperience working with a variety of metals (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.)NSC Staffing values our employees and is committed to offering meaningful employment in safe workplace conditions.
