LifeguardSun Retreats Seashore, Cape May, NJ, US, Seasonal, Full Time, $15.92 per hour Job SummaryLifeguards maintain a safe, clean and sanitary pool and/or lake area, and ensure that all safety equipment is present at and around the pool/lake area at all times. Job DutiesMaintains pool-related records as required by state and local regulations. Supervises guests' behavior in the pool area and immediate pool area (Essential) Tests and balances pool chemicals. (Essential) Monitors and adjusts pool temperature as directed (Essential) Cleans and vacuums pool. Cleans skimmer baskets. Back wash's pool filters. Skims pool with skimmer as needed (Essential) Ensures pool bathrooms are clean, stocked with supplies and free of standing water (Essential) Monitors individuals entering and leaving the pool area. Ensure state capacity is not exceeded (Essential) Ensures all posted pool rules are being adhered to (Essential) Ensures safety equipment is present and in working order. Check first aid kit for needed supplies on daily basis (Essential) Sweeps pool deck and all surrounding areas daily Straightens pool furniture regularly, ensuring that furniture is clean and in working order at all times Cleans clubhouse and surrounding common areas as needed Gardens and pulls weeds in commons areas as needed Other duties as assigned RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED (Preferred) Some High School Education (Required) Must be 16 years of age or older Must be able to endure seasonal temperatures; working conditions require constant outdoor work Must have flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Good communication skills Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet Must have a valid driver's license Required Certifications/Licensures: (Lifeguard) Perks & BenefitsAt Sun Outdoors, you will be part of an industry-leading organization where you will be challenged, inspired, rewarded, and transformed.
