Registered Nurse - Oncology Unit

NOTE: We are not considering May or summer new grad RNs at this time.Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Oncology Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community. This unit serves Hematology/Oncology patients that may require specialized care such as: chemotherapy, side-effect management, complications, biotherapy, supportive/end of life care, neutropenic isolation, infection management, pain management, emotional, spiritual and palliative support, radiation therapy, and clinical trials. This unit will also take overflow general med/surg patients.We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Every other holiday, night hours 2300-0800Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experienceInternal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in NursingLicensed as a registered nurse by the State of MinnesotaCPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providersMust have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgroundsPreferred Qualifications:BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hireOne year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferredICU RN experience is strongly preferredBenefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
