Dispatch Coordinator

Location: Mt. Sterling, ILDepartment: Dot TransportationReports To: Assistant Transportation ManagerWage Range: $18.35 to $27.53 per hour, plus bonus opportunityAs a Dispatch Coordinator, you will assist in the planning and execution of business assets, partners with internal and external customers to provide a level of customer service that fosters both internal and external customer growth and retention.WHAT YOU'LL DOMeet company mission and strategic goalsTake ownership through coordination, and implementation of freight movement between distribution centersEnsure Quality and Safety in the respective work areaCompile data and reports to deliver solutions for changeAssume Driver Supervisor Responsibilities in their absenceAssist with driver payroll tasks and expenseCollaborate with both external internal partners to address concernsWork to improve productivity and reduce cycle time of processesYOU MUST HAVEHigh school diploma, General Equivalency DegreeComputer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programsStrong verbal and written communication skillsSkills to be successful in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlinesWillingness to work as a teamYOU MAY ALSO HAVECollege degreeAdministrative / clerical experience preferredWorking knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulationsExceptional interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong organizational and leadership skillsROLE SPECIFICS* Schedule: Full-Time - Sunday - Wednesday Nights - 6:30 pm - 5:00 am* Training period schedule will consist of varying hours, primarily Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with timeline dependent on job duty proficiencyWHO WE AREDot Foods, a pioneer in the food industry supply chain, created Dot Transportation, Inc.
