The Civil Project Engineer will assist in the design of private and public land development projects including grading, drainage analysis, street design, street widening, water distribution, sewage collection and storm drain systems.

Assignments may include mentoring less-experienced team members on AutoCAD and Civil 3D, grading and drainage design, water and sewer infrastructure design, and construction engineering.

Experience with design in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation (earthwork grading, profiles, and surface development), modeling programs, and ArcGIS. EIT certification and up to 3 years of relevant civil engineering experience.

He/she may take on project management roles, coordinating the activities of substation electrical, RTU/SCADA/Telecom, civil, structural and other engineering and non-engineering disciplines.

Qualifications Experience and Education: Five (5) years of responsible water production maintenance and repair experience including one year of administrative and/or lead supervisory experience supplemented by completion of the twelfth grade and specialized training in civil engineering, water technology, water utility science, or a related field.

Equivalent to completion of an Associate of Science degree in civil engineering, drafting, surveying, mathematics, or related field. Have knowledge of materials, methods, principles and practices used in public works construction inducing traffic control and pavement striping, and basic principles, methods and techniques of traffic engineering related to infrastructure improvement and maintenance.
