Electroplater 3x12 Weekend ShiftAeronautics Company California Job Code/Title: RP4039:Electroplater Job Description Performs such typical duties as: Accomplishes the surface treatment of various metals by immersing parts in successive baths and rinses to perform such processes as cleaning, pickling, etching, iridizing, passivating, degreasing, and stripping. Determines from blueprints, process specifications, and other references, sequences of dips and rinses, proper basket loads and proper grouping and positioning of parts to assure efficient utilization of tank capacity and correct processing treatment. Masks as required, selects proper electrodes, determines voltage, amperage, and proper spacing of parts on racks to ensure efficient processing and performs such operations as electrolytic cleaning, cadium plating and anodizing of parts, which vary as to shape and size; may perform setups by trial-and-error method on new operations in which processing time, voltage, amperage and block-offs are not charted, and records information for future use. Performs such related duties as: Applies such masking material as pressure sensitive tapes, plastic dips, and stop-off lacquer to insure nonplating of specified areas. Works to exacting tolerances as required. Makes identification tags for processing operations; identifies parts after processing.
