Oncology Nurse (RN)Location: Palo Alto, CAJob Type: ContractPay Range: $80.00 - $90.00Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity in Palo Alto, CA. This role provides hands-on, evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory requirements, and established standards of care. The Oncology Nurse partners closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care across the continuum of treatment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluationDeliver direct patient care to oncology patients, including monitoring for treatment response and adverse effectsCreate a supportive and healing environment by offering emotional support, education, and symptom managementCollaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized plans of careAccurately assess and interpret clinical data and respond promptly to changes in patient conditionEducate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, self-care, and symptom managementAdminister oncology treatments in compliance with safety standards and clinical guidelinesUtilize clinical technology and electronic documentation systems effectivelySupport patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiativesServe as a resource for peers through informal or formal teaching and collaborationMaintain professional licensure and ongoing clinical competencyRequired QualificationsActive California RN licenseCurrent BLS certification (American Heart Association)ONS Chemotherapy Certification (required)Recent oncology nursing experienceStrong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environmentPreferred QualificationsBSN from an accredited nursing programOutpatient oncology experienceExperience working in a high-volume or specialty oncology settingContract Details & BenefitsHourly pay: $54.25 – $82.00, based on experienceWeekly pay401(k) plan eligibilityMedical, dental, and vision benefitsAccess to skills training and professional development resourcesPay Details: $80.00 to $90.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
