This is an exciting opportunity to handle a select number of cases and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of employment law. You will work closely with senior attorneys, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, while also managing depositions, mediations, and representing clients in court.Key ResponsibilitiesCase Management: Handle a limited caseload, providing direct legal support on various employment law matters, including wage-and-hour claims and workplace discrimination/harassment cases.Legal Drafting: Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents with attention to detail and legal precision.Client Representation: Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case strategy and legal arguments.Team Collaboration: Work within a collaborative, supportive team environment, contributing to the firm’s overall success while fostering your own professional growth.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Strong writing and legal drafting skills with a focus on clarity and precision.Proficient in legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Experience in employment law is preferred but not required.Familiarity with legal administrative tasks and procedures.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $130,000 - $230,000 per year (commensurate with experience)Bonus: Discretionary performance-based bonusRetirement: 401(k) with matching contributionsHealth Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceLife Insurance: ProvidedPaid Time Off: Vacation, holidays, and paid sick leaveCell Phone: Monthly stipend providedEducation: Annual MCLE allowance to support professional developmentThe Berenji Law Firm is committed to equal opportunity employment and values diversity in its workforce.
