CNC Machinist & Programmer - Lathe/Mill OperationsPay: Starts at $27.00/hour (higher based on experience)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PMOvertime: Saturdays, 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM (average :56 hours/week)Job Type: Contract-to-HirePosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with programming experience to support precision manufacturing operations. This role involves programming, setup, and operation of CNC equipment to produce high-quality components used in industrial applications.You will work closely with shop leadership to ensure production goals, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirementsProgram, set up, and operate CNC lathes and milling machinesDevelop and edit G-code using control systems such as Fanuc, Haas, Fagor, or HeidenhainMachine components to tight tolerances (up to 0.0005") with consistency and accuracyInspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges)Verify that parts meet all specifications and quality requirementsFollow all safety procedures within a machining environmentMaintain strong attendance, reliability, and work ethicHandle materials up to 50 lbs as part of daily responsibilitiesSupport production schedules, including required overtimeQualificationsDemonstrated experience in CNC machining with hands-on programming responsibilitiesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsSolid understanding of G-code programmingStrong attention to detail and commitment to precision workKnowledge of machining best practices, safety standards, and quality expectationsWork EnvironmentFirst-shift position with consistent overtime opportunitiesFast-paced, production-focused machine shop settingCollaborative team environment with direct interaction with supervisorsWhy This OpportunityThis is a great opportunity for a CNC professional to contribute to precision manufacturing while working in a structured environment with steady hours and long-term potential.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
