The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic oversight of all accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving strong regulatory compliance. This executive role demands a leader with deep expertise in P&C insurance accounting, statutory reporting, and reinsurance/fronting structures, who can also serve as a key advisor on complex accounting matters, emerging insurance products, and strategic initiatives. The VP - Controller will lead a high-performing finance team, partner with cross-functional teams, and be instrumental in the evaluation of accounting impacts of new products and complex transactions. Applicants for the VP - Controller position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, a CPA certification, and a minimum of 10 years' progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. A strong background in property and casualty insurance accounting, particularly in fronting and reinsurance structures, is essential. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in building and leading finance teams, advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems/ERP, and the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
