3rd Shift Bottling Line Lead PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (SUMMARY)Reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, the Bottling Line Lead is responsible for leading the production line in daily responsibilities.POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation, Credentials, Licenses:A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.Position-specific vocational education/experience, training, or certification preferred.Valid stand-up forklift license preferred.Kind and Length of Experience:3 or more years of machine operating experience preferred.Mechanical/manufacturing experience required.Forklift experience preferred.Essential Functions:Ability to lift over 50 pounds.Frequently lift up to 40 lbs. to work with equipment and product.Frequently performs repetitive reaching, grasping and lifting of product, materials and boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.Frequently required to understand and follow verbal communication.Frequently required to provide clear written communication.Wear personal safety equipment as required.Utilize cognitive abilities to effectively communicate with internal customers to understand requests.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.Frequently stand, walk, squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head, bend or twist the neck and trunk.PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDSSkilled troubleshooting abilities.Solid understanding and application of basic math principles.Possess basic computer skills.General understanding of all machine areas on the production floor.Comply with all customers, regulatory, and quality requirements in the performance of all tasks as set forth in the company's policies and procedures.Review/generate completed production documentation for quality requirements.Meet all stated timing deadlines for documentation.Perform and/or facilitate on the job training for new and developing operators.Act as liaison to coordinate production activity within department and with support groups as needed.Administrate completion of work by assigning work to team members on an as needed basis, with preference given to facilitating workflow as a team approach.Openly share and communicate all production priorities to team.Foster and promote an atmosphere of teamwork.Attend morning production meeting and report the daily pack-out/thru-put and downtime, delay issues (i.e. late truck arrivals, mechanical/equipment downtime, etc.).Provide weekly summary KPI data to management.Train all fellow team members in duties to act as backup during vacation/illness.Work in a manner to foster a positive work environment.Demonstrate strong leadership ability and people skills.Must have work schedule flexibility to provide coverage to all shifts as needed.Complete all training assignments as required by operations to meet performance, safety and quality expectations.Perform cleaning, sanitizing, and all housekeeping duties as required.Read, understand, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).Participate in departmental reviews/updates current SOPs/WIs/Forms and writing of new SOPs/WIs/Forms.Participate in troubleshooting, efficiency and improvement activities, including corresponding documentation activities.Complete job tasks to meet department schedule. Oversee and ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment among employees to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.Facilitate seamless shift transitions by providing clear and detailed handoff information to incoming shifts, ensuring continuity and efficiency in operations.Conduct thorough audits of return folders to verify accuracy and ensure compliance with documentation and quality standards.Develop and populate production schedules to optimize workflow and ensure timely completion of manufacturing targets.Perform run verifications to ensure production processes meet quality standards and operational specifications.Conduct odor sampling to ensure compliance with quality control standards.Generate and manage the daily roster to ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective shift coverage.Implement and manage break strategies to ensure optimal production flow and minimize downtime during scheduled breaks.Conduct EASE and Centerline audits to evaluate and maintain process efficiency, quality control, and adherence to operational standards.Generate shift reports to document production metrics, operational issues, and team performance for effective communication and continuous improvement.Adhere to all Site Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements, local, state, and federal regulationsMaintain hazardous waste in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.Other duties as requested.
