SUMMARY OF POSITIONAs a Commercial Landscape Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial landscape equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our machinery operates at peak performance, supporting our landscaping operations and customer satisfaction.ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnose and Repair: Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on a diverse range of commercial landscape equipment, including skid steers, mini skid steers, mowers, 2-cycle equipment, trucks, trailers, and chippers.Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on equipment to avoid breakdowns and extend the lifespan of machinery.Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety. Make necessary adjustments or repairs to maintain high performance standards.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours.Flag Time Scheduling: Manage and adhere to Flag Time scheduling for repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working on equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.BENEFITSAvailable to you on the first of the month following 60 days of successful employment:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance through United Health Care Shared ServiceMedical and dependent care flexible spending account or health savings account optionsCompany short-term and long-term disability insurance through Mutual of OmahaSupplemental benefit plans through Mutual of Omaha including accident and critical illnessPaid holidaysLICENSES + CERTIFICATIONSTX Driver License RequiredEXPERIENCEExperience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic specializing in commercial landscape equipment.Technical Skills: Proven experience with skid steers, mini skid steers, mowers, 2-cycle equipment, trucks, trailers, chippers, and other landscape machinery.Flag Time Scheduling: Experience with Flag Time scheduling preferred.Certification: Relevant certifications or training in equipment repair and maintenance preferred.Tools and Equipment: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment specific to landscape machinery.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.Communication: Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and providing updates on equipment status.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various outdoor conditions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS (all required to be done for up to 10 hours or more a day):
