This organization manages a large, diverse residential portfolio, and is known for strong employee tenure, thoughtful leadership, and long-term stability. The Accounts Payable manager will oversee a high volume of monthly invoices, roughly 10,000 with a team of direct and indirect reports totaling 20 individuals.This is more than a manager role. It's an opportunity for someone who wants to shape processes, influence how the department operates, and be heard. Leadership is looking for a proactive problem-solver who can drive improvements, streamline workflows, and elevate the AP function. Why This Role Stands OutStable organization with long-standing employee tenureHybrid schedule offering flexibility and work-life balanceHigh-visibility role with real influence on process and department directionLeadership that values input, ideas, and continuous improvementOpportunity to make a lasting impact in a well-established operation Key Responsibilities of Accounts Payable Manager:Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations for a multi-property portfolioAssign properties and workloads to AP specialists and evaluate team performanceReview invoice coding, approvals, and payment accuracyMonitor AP workflow and resolve escalated issues and discrepanciesCoordinate payment timing with property and senior managementProcess vendor payments, management fees, mortgage payments, and non-vendor disbursementsHandle internal transfers, wire payments, and banking-related functionsManage vendor communications and provide proof of payment as neededOversee monthly AP reporting and reconciliation activitiesPartner with leadership to identify efficiencies and improve AP processes Qualifications of Accounts Payable Manager:Bachelor's degree required3+ years of accounts payable management or senior AP experience Experience with Avid is a mustReal estate or property management experienceStrong Excel and general MS Office skillsExcellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilitiesINFEB2026IL-SM1
