This includes developing (as needed) and maintaining clinical expertise in the placement of PICC lines, teaching and mentoring RN's on the floors about basic IV care such as the use of safety catheters, being a clinical expert resource for the organization in vascular access issues and working closely with the staff to improve organizational access, flow and customer experience and assisting in the development of this new program.Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Current MN nursing license.BLS certification.Current 2-3 years of pediatric nursing experienceCurrent 2 years expertise in vascular access with children.Competent in assessment and treatment of VAD sites for all complications.Ultrasound guided PIV placement, 1 year experience requiredPeripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement experience required, PICC experience in children preferredVA-BC certification preferredAn informational meeting with the Patient Care Manager is required prior to awarding the position.The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market.
