Payroll SpecialistLocation: Jackson, TennesseeWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth accounting operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and ledgersProcess accounts payable and accounts receivableReconcile bank statements and company accountsPrepare financial reports as neededAssist with payroll processing (if applicable)Track expenses and ensure proper documentationSupport monthly and year-end closing processesCommunicate with vendors, clients, and internal departmentsEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting standardsRequired Skills & QualificationsExperience as a bookkeeper, HR, or payroll specialist REQUIREDExperience in Accounts Payable & Receivables REQUIREDProficiency in QuickBooks version 14 (QB 2014).Strong Microsoft Excel skills (data entry, formulas, spreadsheets, audits).Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Solid understanding of tax requirements, including payroll taxes, multi-state taxes, and tax implications for a variety of company types.High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.
