Job DescriptionPayroll SpecialistLocation: Jackson, Tennessee SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth accounting operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and ledgers Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Reconcile bank statements and company accounts Prepare financial reports as needed Assist with payroll processing (if applicable) Track expenses and ensure proper documentation Support monthly and year-end closing processes Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Required Skills & QualificationsExperience as a bookkeeper, HR, or payroll specialist REQUIRED Experience in Accounts Payable & Receivables REQUIRED Proficiency in QuickBooks version 14 (QB 2014). Strong Microsoft Excel skills (data entry, formulas, spreadsheets, audits). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Solid understanding of tax requirements, including payroll taxes, multi-state taxes, and tax implications for a variety of company types. High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
