Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / TelemetryLocation: Bismarck, NDAgency: Cynet HealthPay: $2,146 per weekShift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hoursContract Duration: 13 WeeksStart Date: 4/20/2026About the PositionJob Title: Med/Tele/PCU RNProfession: Registered NurseSpecialty: StepdownDuration: 13 weeksShift: 12H DaysHours per Shift: 36 hours per weekExperience: Minimum of 2 years requiredLicense: RequiredCertifications: BLS, ACLSMust-Have:PCU experienceAbility to read stripsDescription:The department has a capacity of 32 beds.The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5, with occasional 5-6 on nights.PCU level care overflow on the unit is 1:3.Common diagnoses include adults and geriatrics, cardiac catheterizations, EP studies, pacemakers, ETOH, Covid Bipap, and occasional general surgical patients with a heart history.Medical patients may present with cardiac history, pneumonia, Covid, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, and sepsis.Tele/cardiac RN experience is preferred, with Epic familiarity being a plus.First-time travelers are welcome to apply.RNs are required to titrate drips, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, and Lasix; low-dose Dopamine may also be present, and Levo is not used.There is a charge nurse on each shift, who may occasionally take a light load of 2-3 patients.Nursing aids or patient care techs are available on the unit with a goal ratio of 1:10.RNs will need to troubleshoot equipment such as Bipap, trachs, and airvo.Tele/monitor techs are present; RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own strips.Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with rotation occurring no more than weekly as scheduled by management.Weekend and holiday requirements are every other.There is a floating requirement to assist all areas, with full patient loads in PCU and medical-surgical support, as well as some ER holds/boarding.Scrubs of any color are acceptable; scrubs are not provided.There are two shifts of department-specific orientation.Additional notes: This is primarily a tele/cardiac unit.Radius rule is 50 miles.RTO needs to be specified upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract), with additional RTO not being approved after submissions.Cancellation policy allows for 4 shifts per contract; or 3 shifts if the contract is under 13 weeks.Charting system used is Epic.A BSN is not required.Trauma level is 2.The care setting is acute.Division is nursing.Shift notes include every other weekend and holidays, with first to float as necessary.Required certifications are ACLS and BLS.RequirementsRequired for OnboardingBLSMS TelePharmacologySkills ChecklistSpecialty Exam
