Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 – $1,910 Location: Wichita Falls, TX 76301 (North Texas travel nursing opportunity) Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026) Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (19:00 – 07:00), alternating 36/48 hour schedule Biweekly Hours: Facility schedules 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee Patient Ratio: 1:4 Setting: Level II Trauma Center; STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary Job Requirements (ER RN / Travel Nurse) Minimum 2 years recent ER RN experience in a high-volume or trauma facility (3 years preferred) Travel nursing experience required (experienced travel ER RN preferred) Current Registered Nurse license in hand before start Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS EPIC charting experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) Must be able to complete lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted (seeking travel nurses outside 50-mile radius) Responsibilities (Emergency Department RN / Trauma RN) Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care across the lifespan: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Perform triage, rapid assessment, and management of multisystem trauma and emergent medical and behavioral health conditions Administer and monitor procedural sedation, emergency medications, and IV therapies Manage ventilated patients, chest tubes, arterial lines, and central lines; provide advanced airway management Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases (ABGs), and EKGs Provide care for neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, burns, gunshot wounds, and other critical diagnoses typical in a trauma center Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records (EHR) Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care This travel nursing job is an excellent opportunity for experienced ER RNs and trauma nurses seeking a short-term contract in Wichita Falls, TX.
