Travel LPN - Behavioral Health

DescriptionWe're looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for an immediate travel opening in Dummerston, VT.The right LPN should have 1 year of experience in a Psychiatric or Behavioral Health setting. Read below for more requirements.As an LPN in a Psychiatric facility, you will assist in providing nursing care to patients experiencing mental health challenges. Working closely with the interdisciplinary team, you will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and support patients' physical and emotional well-being.As an LPN, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Administer medications and treatments as orderedMonitor and document patient vital signs and mental status changesAssist patients with activities of daily living and personal hygieneObserve and report patient behaviors, mood changes, and potential safety concernsSupport de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention under guidanceParticipate in therapeutic activities and encourage patient engagementMaintain a safe, clean, and structured environment in patient areasCommunicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient careEnsure compliance with infection control, safety, and privacy policiesAssist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfersThe ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an LPN in a Psychiatric setting. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and be eligible for State licensure. Additional certifications may be required.LPNs in psychiatric settings should be patient, compassionate, and skilled at working with individuals facing mental health challenges in a calm, supportive manner.Requirements*: BLS, 5 Years
