Job Description REAL Food re-fined.Barista - Healthcare | Location: Phoenix, AZ 85008Hourly Pay: $17-$19 per hour| Full-timeSchedule: Monday-Friday, AM shiftsJob SummaryWe're seeking a skilled and service-driven cafe Barista to craft quality beverages while creating a warm, welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and staff in a medical facility. In this fast-paced setting, you'll prepare a variety of drinks with precision, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and deliver exceptional customer service with empathy and professionalism.What You'll DoOperate a cash register with an accuracy of 99.85% (plus or minus).Set up appropriate cashier bank.Document cash received and charges made.Identify customer needs and refer them to the appropriate department for follow-up when necessary.Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino.Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies etc. for the coffee bar.Stock refrigerators with beverages, condiments etc.Clean, sanitize, polish general work areas, this includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and throwing trash.Prepare and gather items needed for meal service.Provide exceptional service to all guests.Perform other duties as assigned.What You Will BringHigh School Diploma/GED1–2+ years of barista experience, ideally in a healthcare or institutional settingProficient in preparing espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty beveragesSkilled in operating commercial coffee equipment (e.g., espresso machines, grinders, brewers)Ability to follow standardized recipes and accommodate dietary restrictions (e.g., low sugar, dairy-free)Dependable and punctual with strong multitasking skillsKnowledge of healthcare sanitation standardsCommitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work areaServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers CardAbility to pass a criminal background check and drug screenPhysical and Sensory RequirementsThis job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur.
