The CLO will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of the entire lending program, including the growth and profitability of the lending portfolio, credit risk management, and compliance across various loan types. This role demands a purpose-driven leader who can foster a culture of collaboration, mentor the lending team, and ensure that lending policies and practices are in line with the financial needs of the members. The ideal candidate will be a champion of member-centric lending, advocate for responsible lending, and support financial education initiatives. Additionally, the CLO will be expected to leverage technology and innovation to enhance the lending process, improve efficiency, and ensure the credit union's financial health.Candidates for the CLO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience in the lending sector, with a proven track record in senior-level roles. A strong background in consumer lending, particularly in dealer finance, and experience in mortgage or business lending is highly valued. The successful candidate will be adept at managing competing priorities, maintaining high service standards, and driving strategic initiatives that align with the organization's long-term financial goals. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is required, with a master's degree strongly preferred, and prior experience in a credit union setting is a plus.
