CNC Machinist: 3-Axis

We are seeking an experienced 3-Axis CNC Mill Machinist to join our aerospace and defense manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and production of precision components on 3-axis vertical milling machines. The ideal candidate has strong experience working with tight tolerances and aerospace-grade materials in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision aerospace componentsInterpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T to ensure accurate machiningSelect and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding based on part requirementsPerform tool offsets and make machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracyEdit and adjust CNC programs (G-code / M-code) at the machine as neededMonitor machining processes to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirementsPerform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring toolsMaintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements common in aerospace applicationsTroubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, setup, or program discrepanciesPerform basic preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work areaFollow all aerospace/defense quality standards and safety proceduresQualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification in CNC machining preferred.Experience:Minimum 3+ years of experience operating and setting up 3-axis CNC mills. Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, and high-strength alloys preferred. Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with Fanuc controls is a plus.Skills:
