- Under general guidance and supervision, the Vice President, Employment & Litigation Counsel is responsible for overseeing and supervising all aspects of the company's response to litigation and provide advice and guidance to a wide range of employment law related matters.
- The role requires expertise in employment law and litigation, strong leadership skills and the ability to formulate and execute effective legal strategies.
- Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, primary role will be to handle non-insured legal disputes for the organization and analyze potential risks, providing legal advice on litigation strategy and negotiating settlements and resolutions of adverse legal proceedings.
- Work closely with human resource teams to address employee related legal concerns, conduct legal research and draft employment related documents.
- Manage outside attorneys and provide guidance on legal matters related to commercial litigation and employment law.
