- The responsibility of the Training Mentor is to support the Training Manager to appropriately train the agency’s direct care staff (including, but not limited to: Direct Support Professional [DSP], Certified Residential Medication Aide [CRMA], Residential Care Coordinator [RCC], Residential Manager [RM], and Community Case Manager [CCM]), role-model high quality support to the people served and professional behavior.
- The Training Mentor must be able to communicate effectively with a multicultural workforce of direct care staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to maximize their abilities and meet their job expectations.
- The Training Mentor must demonstrate the skill and willingness to provide all direct care staff with guidance and constructive feedback.
- Provide guidance and feedback to direct care staff daily.
- Must be able to lift and/or move at least 75 pounds to assist in life skills, such as bathing, physical rescue, and wheelchair assistance.
